Daidojuku is a system based on fundamental techniques born from real fighting. Training involves Ido Keiko with 6 strong opponents, combination techniques and sparring.

This DVD also features an explanation of the history and training of Daidojuku through a revealing interview with Kudo founder Mr. Azuma as well as flashback footage of the best Shiai competition matches taken from the Hokutoki Taikai events from the years 1984-2001.

Techniques Include:

Basic Punches - (stance, left jab, straight, left right hook, left right upper cut, Hiji Uchi)

Basic Kicks - (Maegeri, Hizageri, Yoko Keriage, Mawashigeri, Ushirogeri, Kansetsugeri, Ashi Barai)

Ido Keiko - (jab, straight, One-Two, 3 &4 strike combinations, Mae KeriAge, Maegeri, Yokogeri, Mawashigeri, Ushirogeri, combination kicks)

Plus an additional 40-minute feature called “Highlights of HOKUTOKI (1984-2001)”.
These Hokutoki Taikai events are open to all Karatedo practitioners and are based on the premise that the whole body is a target (except for the groin).

For this reason the training is for real life fighting which involves not only punching and kicking, but naturally flows into grappling for throwing techniques and ground fighting for submission locks as well.
